Visiting MIS
General museum hours: Tuesday through Saturday, from 12 noon to 10 p.m.;Â Sundays and holidays, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
However, each sector of the museum has its own hours and specific entrance conditions, as outlined below.
Payment: cash or check (it is not possible to pay by credit or debit cards)

Exhibitions concerning media art
Hours: Tuesday through Saturdays, from 12 noon to 7 p.m.; Sundays and holidays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Special hours: schools may preschedule group visits for students during the morning. Group visits for night-course students may be prescheduled between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Admission: R$4.00 (adult); R$2.00 (students with valid student ID); admission is free for everyone each Sunday, for senior citizens (aged 60 and over) and children under 10 years old.
Acervo Vivo [film and video exhibition of the museum’s collection]
Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m.; Saturdays at 4 p.m.; Sundays and holidays, at 3 p.m.
Admission: free admission. Tickets are given out at the ticket booth, one hour before each session.
Midiateca [media library]
(for use by researchers, students and the general public)
Hours: Tuesday through Saturday from 12 noon to 7 p.m.; Sundays and holidays, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Admission: free admission
LABMIS [workshops and courses]
